jiki’s persistence layer automatically saves filesystem changes to a storage backend. Here, an InMemoryAdapter tracks all writes. In production, swap it for IndexedDBAdapter so files survive page refreshes.
Details
- Every
writeFilecall is automatically tracked by the adapter - A counter script reads, increments, and writes a value; run it multiple times to see it persist across executions
- The header shows how many entries are currently persisted
- Swap

Try it yourself
- Run
node counter.jsseveral times — the counter increments each time - Create new files — they appear in the persisted entry count
- Edit
notes.txtand save — the persistence adapter tracks the change - In production, replace
