Building a React App
jiki can host a full React development environment in the browser. Components are editable, previews update with hot module replacement, and there’s no separate server involved.
Under the hood, Vite runs as the build tool inside the jiki container. Its dev server operates in-memory, and the preview renders in an iframe through jiki’s Service Worker bridge, which intercepts HTTP requests. The experience is close to a local Vite + React setup.
What this looks like
A typical setup includes a code editor, a file explorer, and a live preview that reflects file changes. The container can boot with a pre-installed React + Vite template, bringing dev server startup down to seconds.
