Building a Vue App

Vue’s single-file component format is a natural fit for jiki — .vue files are compiled on the fly inside the container, and Vite’s HMR keeps the preview up to date as you edit templates, scripts, and styles.

The setup follows the same pattern as a React project but uses Vue’s Vite template. jiki’s transpiler handles Vue SFC compilation through @vitejs/plugin-vue running inside the container.

Template setup

A typical starting point is a standard create-vue project structure with App.vue, a router setup, and a few sample components. Pre-installing dependencies via a filesystem snapshot can cut the boot time from several seconds to under one second.
